OMG! Latest 3G iPhone pic + specs + prices! Go Crazy!

Well, the good people at MacRumors just can’t help themselves, can they?

And hey, when it comes to a good rumour, neither can I, even if I spell rumour the Australian/British English way, instead of the American way as rumor.

So, what have MacRumors said this time?

They say they’re hearing “unconfirmed whispers about the 3G capable iPhone due at next week's WWDC. Besides 3G support, the following features/specs were also passed along, mostly consistent with circulating rumors”.

These are, say MacRumors:

- Lighter weight
- Black + other colours
- Focus on Multimedia with Video recording
- Video Conferencing
- GPS
- 16GB $499
- 32GB $699

MacRumors state that: “As with all pre-release specs, confirmation can be difficult and intentional misinformation may be common, so we provide it for interest alone.”

They continue: “If released exactly as described, this would eliminate the $399 8GB iPhone, keep the $499 16GB and add a $699 32GB model. This, however, does not necessarily preclude the possibility of a low end iPhone suggested by Kevin Rose in an rumor earlier today.”

The video of Kevin Rose can be seen at his page on Seesmic.

But what might a ‘low-end’ iPhone be? Kevin Rose gives no clues.

Our guess is that it will be a standard 8GB or more likely a 16GB non-3G iPhone, i.e. one of today’s 2G iPhone models.

After all, who will want to buy a 2G iPhone when 3G iPhones are available, unless it’s at a really cheap price?

So, maybe a 2G iPhone is what Apple means by ‘low-end’. Makes sense to me...

Over to you now, Steve! 8 more sleeps to go...

Oh, one more thing... Engadget has just posted news that Spaniards will soon get the iPhone too, via one of its major telcos, Movistar... Olé!
