OMG! Latest 3G iPhone pic + specs + prices! Go Crazy!

Mobility

Oh my God. There are 8 days to go before the 3G iPhone debuts. We might just get a new real/fake 3G iPhone pic every single day until then. Here’s today’s – along with the latest price and feature rumour, plus the chance of a $200 ‘low-end’ iPhone?!

Here we go again. Days before the Jobsian truth will be exposed – by Jobs himself, to an iPhone crazy world – a new photo of the 3G iPhone has emerged, and rather than pointing you to another site, which I’m doing anyway, I’ve copied and pasted it here, below.

iPhone Atlas starts its post by saying that 3G iPhone pics are a dime a dozen, they’re easy to fake, and hard to trust and etc etc etc.

Let’s face it: people go crazy over iPhone anything these days, especially before the next model emerges. Ah, Apple.

In relation to this latest 3G iPhone photo, iPhone Atlas says that: “The low-res image depicts an off-black device strikingly similar to the current iPhone. JSN1 [a poster at Hackintosh.org] claims the photo was taken at the 5th Avenue Apple Store in Manhattan, where Apple was rumored to be shooting a commercial for the upcoming iPhone.”

The quote continues: “In response to incredulity from another forum poster, JSN1 quips: ‘I will accept your apologies by PM (personal message) on June 9’.”

The photo is as follows, which iPhone Atlas advises to “take as you will”. To me, it looks very much like an existing iPhone with one of those black cases you can buy in Hong Kong that previously had us all thinking it was a 3G iPhone pic just a few weeks ago.

I held up my 2G iPhone next to the picture, and it looks almost identical, except that the ‘dip’ in the casing on right hand side of the phone, where the headphone socket goes, has “less” of a dip.

Still, the 3G iPhone is supposed to be able to let you use any headphones you want, or at least so the rumours go, so... is it a real 3G iPhone pic, or yet another fake?
