Much ado about new 3G iPhone icon SDK image?

Well... it doesn’t look like any particular major discovery to me, but I love covering iPhone news, and while this is probably the weakest iPhone news piece in the history of iPhone news pieces... it is what it is and there you go.

But these kinds of stories can’t be stopped easily, the existing iPhone is still the most usable and exciting handheld computing and telephony device ever created – with or without a touch screen.

What do you think? Does this icon represent anything other than today’s 2G iPhone, or are you one of those eagled eyed people that swears it looks different and therefore MUST be representative of the 3G iPhone?

Less than two weeks to go now until June 9! If only an iPhone Apple story a day would make the anticipation go away. No chance of that, however.

Expect several more iPhone stories before the two weeks is over – and then about five zillion to appear as soon as the 3G iPhone is finally, officially, Steve Jobsially confirmed!
