Don’t worry – Apple hasn’t missed the iPhone sales boat

Your IT - Mobility

This will continue with the upcoming iPhone 2.0 firmware/software, and will for the foreseeable future, at least until the first generation iPhone just doesn’t have the processing power to deliver whatever new features Apple has planned next.

But the new iPhone will have a plethora of additional hardware features that the first generation iPhone can’t be software upgraded to enable.

This is said to include a better camera, built-in GPS, 3.5G chipset and the extremely high probability of at least 32GB of memory, if not more.

Plenty of other features have been speculated on, and the day we’ll all find out, June 9, draws ever nearer.

Given the regularity with which iPod owners have upgraded to new models, and the new customers that the latest models of iPod have brought into the fold, why would a new iPhone be any different?

This time, the number of telcos offering the iPhone has exploded. The new iPhone will soon be available in all the major countries, with more to surely follow.

The likelihood is strong that there will be competitive pricing for the iPhone itself, along with competitive voice and data plans that will make the iPhone ever more attractive.

Add a 3.5G HSDPA download speed of up to 7.2Mbps (with real world speeds of 500Kbps to 3Mbps) and you have a handheld computer/phone/media player that simply rocks, and massively outclasses the original iPhone.

Sure, plenty of people will either sell their iPhone on eBay, or more likely hand it on to a family member who will still be delighted to have what will remain one of the world’s sexiest and coolest gadgets – even if it’s brand new brother is even better still.

So has Apple missed the sales boat then? Please read on to page 3.
