Mac drivers for Next G modem

Your IT - Mobility

Maxon has released a new beta of the drivers for its USB 3G modem intended for use with Telstra's Next G network.

"[I]t isn't finished software, so not all functionality is there," warned Maxon officials, but we've heard from one user who says it works and is much more stable than the first beta.

The software is not officially sanctioned by Telstra, so support is only available directly from Maxon at this time.

Two versions are available, one for Mac OS X 10.3, the other for 10.4.

In related news, Maxon has announced that it has cancelled the development of an ExpressCard 3G modem in favour of the USB models.
