Telstra's Sensis to offer Google-beating Aussie NearMaps
Telstra subsidiary Sensis has struck a deal with Perth based Ipernica (ASX: IPR) under which it will use Ipernica's NearMap aerial imagery to improve its B2B mapping and navigation products.

BigTinCan adds NearMap's aerial photos to Aussie maps on BlackBerry
Australian mobile applications developer, BigTinCan, has integrated aerial photography from Australian company NearMap into its mapping application for the BlackBerry, along with other new features such a cell-site based location and search and routing services and plans to add turn by turn navigation in Q2 of 2010.

Aussie mapping technology set to take on Google
Perth based Ipernica (ASX: IPR) is poised to launch a new media company based around high resolution digitised terrain maps, that it says will compete with Google Maps and with Microsoft Bing.
