The site that rocked - Pirate Bay founders guilty
The Pirate Bay trial concluded today with the Swedish court reaching a guilty verdict. The four founders have been sentenced to a year in prison and ordered to pay SKr 30m in damages ($US 3.58m) to Warner Bros, Sony, EMI, Columbia Pictures and others.

Fujitsu has followed HP in reaching settlement with the CSIRO over its long running battle to extract licence fees for a key patent it holds covering the 802.11 WiFi wireless technology.

Microsoft dealt AUD$545 million blow in anti-piracy patent case
In
one of the biggest damages awards for software patent infringement in
history, the world's largest software company Microsoft has been hit
with a US$388 million fine. However, Microsoft is not expected to take
the decision laying down.
