Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
A rumour being circulated by Mac news and blogging site MacScoop is that the Bootcamp dual boot software which allows Intel Mac users to run Windows XP is due to come out of beta in the second quarter. What's more, like all non open source RTM software, Apple intends to charge users for it, with the figure being bandied around as US$29.
Thus, for the privilege of spending US$29 plus
the much heftier cost of Windows XP, Mac OS X Tiger (10.4) users will
be able to partition their hard drive and load both operating systems
on their Mac desktop in a dual boot configuration. But what about Vista?
While it has been assumed that the final release of Boot Camp will
include Vista support, Apple, true to form, has not said anything about
Vista support.
Some believe Mac users may have to wait for the release of Mac OS X
Leopard (10.5) when it launches to get Boot Camp with Vista support.
An announcement about Leopard, which will include Boot Camp in the
system, was conspicuously absent from the recent Macworld expo in San
Francisco.
