Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Verizon Business has announced the global availability of its remote
internet protocol (IP) application management service that enables its
customers to outsource all or some of the monitoring and management of
their business-critical applications.
The service remotely monitors customers’ applications, infrastructure and server operating systems across multiple locations and can be tailored to each customer’s unique technical and business requirements, according to Verizon Business. "The service is supported by customised service level agreements (SLAs) that can include metrics for customer-facing operations as well as on their applications and infrastructure elements such as network support," the company said.
The service can be provided to customers who house their servers at their own location, a third-party data centre or in one of Verizon’s own data centres. It is now available across Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific regions where Verizon Business services are sold. It was initially rolled out in the US in late 2005.
