Telstra has scored a major deal with BBC Worldwide to make an archive of BBC TV programmes available for download to BigPond's fixed broadband customers and to customers on its Next G mobile network.

Each BBC program will be available for viewing over a seven-day period at prices starting at $2.95 per episode.

Programmes to b available will include episodes of Absolutely Fabulous, motoring programme - Top Gear, Doctor Who, Little Britain, The Office, Walking with Dinosaurs and Walking with Beasts  and David Attenborough's wildlife documentaries. Telstra did not indicate when the service would become available.
