A demonstration of the system via an interactive map is available on the Vanco NetDirect web site (
http://direct.vanconetdirect.com). Clicking on Australia reveals 3.7 million "potential solutions" a figure calculated by Vanco by multiplying the number of facilities-based carriers to which it offers access by the number of service types they offer and the points of presence where these are available. Interestingly the number options available in Australia far outweighs the number in the UK which has just 1.8 million.
For Australia Vanco lists service availability in 27 towns and cities and indicates it can offer MPLS from a choice of 10 carriers, private lines from 10 and DSL Internet access from three.
Vanco does not own telecoms assets and claims that this gives it the freedom to source the most appropriate copper, fibre, and wireless transmission on a global basis. It claims that this approach enable it to offer greater geographic coverage than available through any other single provider, with services available in 230 countries and territories.
Clients include Accor Hotels, Asia Netcom, AT&T, Avis Europe, Bell Canada, British Airways, Comcast, Ford Motor Company, IBM/Lloyds TSB, Siemens, Telecom Italia Sparkle, Telus, Virgin Retail, and XO Communications.
