While we wait for the NBN rollout to deliver a competitive market for the fastest links, residents of more than 125 greenfields estates around the country served by Telstra's Velocity fibre system now have a choice of provider.
Internode now offers Reach Fibre Access Broadband (FAB) plans in competition with Telstra, thanks to an agreement between Internode and Telstra Wholesale.
Six plans are offered, ranging from Reach FAB Mid 30 (30/1Mbps with 30GB per month) at $49.95 per month, to Reach FAB High 250 (100/5Mbps and 250GB per month) for $109.95 per month.

Customers can also choose between a 24 month contract or paying a $99 setup fee for a month-by-month arrangement.
FAB plans are also available to premises in Point Cook that are served by Telstra's fibre network.
"Previously residents could only buy their Fibre to the Home (FTTH) service through Telstra. Now they have more choice when it comes to choosing their broadband provider," said Internode product manager Jim Kellett.
