The Billion BiPAC 7800 VDOX and 7800 VDPX routers combine an ADSL2+ modem with a Gigabit Ethernet WAN port, so they can be used immediately with an ADSL service (or for that matter with a BigPond or OptusNet cable modem, though that would be a waste of the ADSL2+ support), and later with an NBN fibre connection.

Raaj Menon, CEO of Billion importer PCRange, said "In pre-release field tests, we recorded LAN-to-WAN throughput tests as fast as 400 megabits per second while the new routers comfortably recorded downstream speeds of 100Mbps from the NBN." He also told iTWire that it was Billion's first major product launch in two years.
