When the cable TV service FOXTEL arrived as a service on the Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming console, many bemoaned the inability to stream live coverage of sport as a downfall of the idea. Australian Football League (AFL) Xbox 360 owning fans can now get live action.
From today however, AFL fans will have LIVE coverage: The new channel FOOTY PLAY Powered by FOX SPORTS will show LIVE coverage from the 2012 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, which can be watched via FOXTEL on Xbox 360.
The FOOTY PLAY channel will show eight games LIVE every full round of the 2012 Toyota AFL Premiership Season and LIVE coverage of the NAB Cup. Up to five games every full round will be shown with no ad breaks, siren to siren.
The new channel will compliment over 35 live TV channels, Catch UP TV and thousands of movie titles On Demand already available with FOXTEL on Xbox 360.
