Developers for the Apple platform can now get access to the Mac OS X Intel kernel source and will have their own website to exchange ideas and download software tools, according to announcement at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco.

The source code is now available for the kernel of Mac OS X 10.4.7 for Intel.

Developers can gain access to the Mac kernel sources at a site called Mac OS Forge, which is an Apple hosted community site which aims to serve as both a forum and resource for developers.
