Construction needs cloud flexibility

Australia’s embattled construction sector could benefit from cloud based information systems that can be switched on and off in lockstep with individual projects – with the exception of those organisations based in remote areas like the Kimberleys.

Charlie Sheen's mobile number used to be 310-954-7277

Your IT - Home IT

If you're trying to call Charlie Sheen, his old number has been disconnected.  Sorry.

It's easy to make a mistake on Twitter, the problem is that some mistakes are significantly larger than others.

It seems that on Wednesday last week Sheen was trying to get in contact with Justin Bieber and sent the tweet: "310-954-7277 Call me bro. C"

The (tiny) problem is that Sheen forgot to make it a private message and his 5.5M followers all received it.

Within no time the phone went into melt-down with every man and his uncle calling it to see if the number was real (there's a reason they use 555-xxxx numbers in the movies!).

According to the New York Post, Sheen was at dinner in Las Vegas at the time and (briefly) amused callers and his table mates by answering "Ray's Pizza" or "Winning!" before eventually shutting the phone off.  Permanently.  Sheen also noted that he'd received around 1,800 text messages in the following 10 minutes.

One assumes there is now a spare SIM card that (if activated) would be a very popular number to have!

iTWire has not yet been advised of Charlie Sheen's new number, neither is it clear just why he was wanting to make contact with Bieber.
