Apple MacBook batteries go off the boil

Like HP before it, Apple Computer is recalling defective batteries in its MacBook Pro notebooks. However, unlike the HP case, the Apple batteries are not a fire risk.

They just don't perform as well as they should, according to the company.

The HP has suffered two battery recalls in the past year citing problems with overheating batteries.

Apple is now having problems with the MacBook, concerning both overheating and excessive noise.
