Primus offers unlimited calls to fixed lines in 50 countries

Your IT - Home IT

Primus Australia has launched two new calling plans - 'Passport Easy' for its own fixed line customers and 'Lingo 50 Countries' a VoIP service for any fixed broadband user - that offer unlimited international calls to standard fixed numbers in 50 countries including China, India, Israel, UK and the USA.

Passport Easy can be added to an existing or new Primus home phone service for an additional $25.00 per month with no minimum contract term. Lingo 50 Countries costs $39.95 per month and includes unlimited local, national and mobile calls within Australia.

It requires an analogue telephone adaptor. Primus supplies the Linksys 3102 at $99, but discounts this to $40 or $0 when customers sign up for six or 12 months rather than taking a month by month contract.

"Our new international calling plans are a very cost effective way for anyone visiting or living in Australia to call overseas and they provide a great alternative to the irritation and confusion of purchasing calling cards on a regular basis or remembering to top them up," said Andrew Sims, Primus Australia's general manager of marketing and products. "It also removes the need to enter pin codes every time you want to call overseas."

The 50 countries are: Argentina, Denmark, India, Norway, Spain, Austria, Estonia, Ireland, Peru, Sweden, Bahrain, France, Israel, Poland, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Taiwan, Brazil, Greece, Lithuania, Puerto Rico, Thailand, Canada, Guadeloupe, Luxembourg, Romania, Turkey, Chile, Guam, Malaysia, Singapore, UK, China, Hong Kong, Malta, Slovakia, USA, Croatia, Hungary, Netherlands, Slovenia, Vatican City, Czech Republic, Iceland, New Zealand, South Korea, Venezuela.

Calls to non-standard or non-fixed lines (eg mobiles / premium or special numbers) are charged at published rates.
