Apple wireless Mighty Mouse on the way

Obviously something slipped up somewhere at Apple because word has got out that a Blue Tooth wireless version of its multi-button Mighty Mouse is on its way.

Apparently, when you have a wireless device that uses communications spectrum, you have to lodge details with the US Federal Communications Commission and therein lays Apple's problem about keeping the project completely under wraps.

A number of gadget sites have pictures of a prototype of the new Apple mouse and its innards plastered all over their pages and we have resisted that temptation - it's just a mouse for heaven's sake!

Anyway, from all reports, the new wireless version looks just like the USB version of the Mighty Mouse with four programmable buttons and a multi-directional scroll ball.
