Norton 360 v6 reaches public beta

Your IT - Home IT

Beta releases of security software aren't for everybody, but anybody can download the beta release of Norton 360 version 6.0.

Norton 360 upgrades generally follow those for Norton Internet Security (NIS), and this year is no exception. The public beta of the forthcoming Norton 360 6.0 is now available for download.

New features include cloud-based password storage (interoperable with NIS 2012), identity protection, and web-based remote management (so you can check the kids' computer while working late).

Other changes include the ability to avoid the download of non-critical updates over expensive (eg, 3G) networks, and 'stability ratings' for downloaded software based on the experience of other users.

The Norton 360 version 6.0 beta is available for free download at the Norton Beta Center.
