Apple's newest and 11th Australian store is set to open on Saturday, the 23rd of July at 9am in Penrith, perhaps revealing the date Apple will launch some new Macs and OS X Lion too, if they haven't all already launched by then!
Apple's famous stores are the hallmark of the premium shopping experience few companies have truly managed to either copy, or make available to the masses.
Apple's stores usually have plenty of fully operational display stock laid out for as many people as possible to trial and use, with new iPad-2 driven interactive displays that deliver information about the product you're looking at and knowledgeable staff for the pre-sales, sales and post-sales/support periods.
They're also amazingly well fitted out, with clean lines, plenty of promotional space, wide tables, and ultra modern design - and they are incredibly efficient at attracting the masses as anyone who has ever visited an Apple Store has seen.
Now the people of Penrith and Western Sydney are getting an Apple Store of their own, bringing competition to the authorised Mac resellers in the area while likely helping to attract more consumers to the area on a regular basis, too.
An Apple Store also brings the Apple support experience closer, too. Taking an Apple product with a problem to an actual Apple Store can be a better and cheaper experience than taking it to a reseller.
It depends on what the problem is and whether it's covered by warranty or not but with Apple Stores always popular, the residents of and around Penrith who are customers, or customers-to-be, will undoubtedly be very happy Apple's latest store is nearly here - especially with Apple's new Mac Mini, MacBook Air, white Macbook and OS X Lion expected to be here by then.
As for the store launch itself, which will surely be full of promotional wonder and magic over OS X Lion and the new Macs, queues are guaranteed to be in place, not only from those who travel the world to Apple Store launches, but also those who love to collect Apple Store launch T-Shirt, the curious, the committed and Apple fanboy crazy that just love everything Apple related, with this last category probably seeing an Apple Store as a little slice of crunchy heaven.
