Internode cuts ADSL2+ entry price

Your IT - Home IT

Internode is tempting low-end broadband customers to adopt its phone service with a hefty bundling discount.

Internode's new Easy Reach 30 Special broadband plan provides ADSL2+ service with a 30GB quota for $29.95 a month when combined with NodeLine phone service.

It costs $59.95 as a standalone plan, but NodeLine costs $29.95 per month so it's a wash - as long as the NodeLine call charges work for you at least as well as your current phone provider's tariffs.

The Easy Reach 30 Special is $10 cheaper than the previously cheapest Easy Reach plan, but provides six times as much data.

Extra-cost add-ons include static IP addresses and download-only quotas.

"This is great news for any customers still on first-generation broadband plans, using 256 kilobyte per second or 512k services," said product manager Jim Kellett. "Today's launch lets them pay the same price... [for] six times the quota and a much higher speed."

Easy Reach Special 30 is available to customers on certain Telstra exchanges, predominantly in metropolitan areas.
