Although the Japanese launch of the iPad 2 has understandably been put back by a month due to the trio of disasters that has shaken one of the world's most technologically advanced countries, the Czech Republic's launch is being put back by a month too, leading some to wonder who's next.
UPDATE: Czech Republic getting the iPad 2 on March 25 after all - original story continues below.
The first iPad had its international launch delayed too, due to the overwhelming popularity of the iPad at the time of its launch, something that has certainly endured.
Now the iPad 2 is upon us in the US, and as happened before, the lines have been long, with stocks selling out and buyers having to await the delivery of new stock before being able to buy.
Whether intentional or merely as the result of supply chain issues resulting from the first run of what was expected to be a highly popular product, difficulties getting Apple products only add to their appeal to those who don't have them but want them, with anticipation and expectation playing their role in generating impatience and desire.
There's been reports in the press of the Japanese earthquake potentially delivering new supply chain issues too, although other reports suggest Apple has enough manufacturing partners to overcome any temporary supply issues and that the fears are a beat up.
In reference to the Czech Republic being one of the 26 countries that was due to see the iPad 2 on March 25, 9to5mac.com discovered that Apple's Czech site had changed the release date from March, to April, with 'dubna' being the Czech word for the fourth month of the year - and not the third.
9to5mac captured a screenshot of Apple's Czech iPad page, which does now note that the Czech Republic will now see the launch on the 25th of April, exactly one month after it was due to appear.
Interestingly, the home page of Apple's Czech site lists the correct word for 'lighter', which is left in English on the Czech iPad page, but is listed in Czech as 'lehci' correctly on the home page - minus the April 25 reference.
So, what about Australia's iPad 2 launch on March 25?! Please read on to page two'¦
