Dell pops your top with Inspiron R

Your IT - Home IT

Interchangeable lids are the big feature of Dell's new notebook line.

Never mind the Core i3/i5/i7 processor options, WiDi for wireless 1080p video and 5.1 sound hookup to projectors and home theatres, or the USB 3.0 ports.  Dell is promoting the Inspiron R notebooks' interchangeable lids.

Technology isn't just for the techies these days. And there's no reason why a techie shouldn't appreciate art and design.

Dell offers 25 different lids for the Inspiron R, including solid covers and artwork from various creators, at prices starting at $39. So if you don't like the standard black lid, "Just pop.click.switch."

The Inspiron R itself starts at $699.
