Search leader Google intends to expand its website advertising offering for advertisers, Google Adwords, to include video commercials.
At present, web publishers who subscribe to the Google AdSense program,
are served context-sensitive text based advertisements at designated
locations on their sites. Publishers share revenue with Google for
based on the number of click throughs ads receive. Presumably the same
system will be applied to videos, although this has not been confirmed.
Also not clear, is how successful Google will be at serving up the right videos for the right audience.
