The Primus broadband service, iPrimus, was one of the first to be commissioned in the Tasmanian NBN rollout.
iPrimus CEO Ravi Bhatia said: 'We are thrilled to make the new QUAD-1 plans available. I'm particularly excited that our customers will have access to these plans, as in the NBN age customers should not have to worry about download quotas. This is a step change in internet history in Australia and I'm glad that Primus Telecom can lead the way into the new high speed broadband age.'
The Government is talking up the business and e-health benefits of its NBN plan. However, in its announcement today Primus was keen to emphasise the entertainment components as well assome business benefits.
According to Primus, it is now offering domestic and business customers' capability to download High-Definition video, movies on demand, streaming ABC i-View and also offers advanced corporate voice services.
'Australian consumers are increasingly turning to the internet for entertainment and communication and we don't want our customers to have to worry about download limits. iPrimus is happy to lead the market on this initiative. These plans provide iPrimus customers with the opportunity to receive an internet experience of the future and search for richer media, high-definition video, Internet Television (IPTV) and other advanced services, which iPrimus is preparing to deliver,' said Ravi Bhatia.
The iPrimus QUAD-1 plan includes 1,111GB of usage (511 peak, 600 off-peak) available to customers in iPrimus network areas for $99.95 per month on a 24 month plan. Peak data allowance is available from 10am to 2am. The iPrimus QUAD-1 plan is also available as a NakedDSL plan, for $119.95 per month. During the launch phase, iPrimus is waiving installation charges on a 24 month plan length.
The iPrimus QUAD-1 Broadband plan is available from today.
