Water Buddy taps iPhone for water conservation

Your IT - Home IT

Water restrictions are being relaxed in Melbourne next month, but that hasn't stopped Melbourne-based iPhone developer The App Bakery releasing Water Buddy, an app intended to help save water.

Melbourne's not the only place that water use is being restricted, and even in localities where there are no official regulations people are often encouraged to use water carefully.

Water Buddy, a new app for the iPhone and iPod touch, is designed to help track water usage against a target set by the local water authority or the individual.

The app makes it easy to record meter readings, displays the current usage, and charts progress over time.

The $A2.49/$US1.99 app also integrates with Appigo's Todo (free or paid versions) to generate reminders to read the meter.
