AAPT has introduced the first 24 x7 unlimited download broadband service in Australia, but it's only available bundled with a home phone line and a $50 per month music download service.
AAPT's 24/7 Unlimited Broadband costs $99.95 per month on a 24 month contract. This covers home phone line rental, $50 of music downloads per month with access to up to a million songs and unlimited music streaming offered under a new deal struck with EMI. Existing AAPT broadband customers can add the EMI download deal to their current plans for $17.99 per month on a 12 month contract.
AAPT CEO, Paul Broad, said: "We were first to market with 2:00am-8:00am unlimited [service]; then 8:00pm - 8:00am unlimited; and now 24/7 Unlimited Broadband downloads plus music streaming."
According to Broad, "AAPT has committed to unlocking broadband restraints for the past year and what we're now launching will change the broadband telco landscape in this country...AAPT's benchmark decision will force our major competitors to do the same thing. All Australians will benefit from AAPT leading the way with unlimited broadband."
