PC vendor Acer has bundled its Media Center PCs with a 30 day free trial of IceTV's Electronic Program Guide (EPG), Iceguide.
Iceguide (www.icetv.com.au) is an on-screen TV guide that is constantly updated to deliver up-to-the-minute programming schedules for all major Australian free-to-air networks. It enables watching and recording digital television by offering an on-screen guide and 'one click' recording functionality.
Acer customers using the service will have the ability to pause live TV, skip ads, watch instant replays, time shift recordings and record two channels if equipped with more than one digital TV tuner.
"Iceguide changes the way you watch TV. Instead of having to watch shows when they are scheduled, you simply choose the shows you want to watch in advance and watch them at a time that suits you," said Duncan Ross, CEO, IceTV."
The trial service will be bundled with Acer's Aspire desktop PCs.
"We believe the simplicity and feature set of the Iceguide service perfectly complements our range of Media Center enabled desktops and expect Acer customers will enjoy the 30-day free trial we are providing," said Gavin Craig, Acer Retail Desktop Specialist.
