Your IT - Home IT

Hutchison Telecom has announced pricing and details of the Nokia 6280 phone bundled with its 3 service, a product it sees as key to wooing users of its CDMA network onto the 3G network.

CEO, Kevin Russell, described it as "the first mainstream 3G Nokia in Australia," adding: The market impact of a mainstream Nokia shouldn't be underestimated. Given that the majority of our [CDMA] base are Nokia users, a feature rich, affordably priced Nokia will be a very attractive offer."

The phone will sell for $459 at full price on capped or prepaid plans, $0 on some contract plans.

Features include: 2 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom, image editor, video calling, SMS/MMS/Email, stereo MP3 player, stereo FM radio, speakerphone, PC connectivity choice - bluetooth, USB, infrared, 10MB internal memory and 64MB mini SB memory card, modem for Internet access via laptop.
