Telstra adds one million mobile services, but Sensis plummets

Optus has introduced new pricing plans for Optus Wireless Connect, a mobile wireless data service using a card modem which seamlessly roams between GSM, 3G and WiFi networks with a common charging rate.


The new plans are: $29.95 - 75MB; $39.95 - 200MB; $79.95 - 500MB; $129.95 - 1.5GB. The old plans were: $49.95 - 50MB; $89.95 - 500MB; $129.95 - 1.5GB.

Optus says it also improved the service last December by increasing the upload speed available on the 3G network from up to 128kbps to up to 384kbps. It claims the service is unique in its ability to automatically select the network depending on the user's location without dropping the connection.
