Optus revamps business broadband offerings

Optus has unveiled new broadband plans for SMEs including a 1.5Mbps service with 25Gbytes of peak-time download for $89.95 per month.

The plan also includes 50Gbytes of off-peak download if bundled with other Optus services and once the limit is exceed throttling is to 128kbps.

There are four plans in all: Starter, 512kbps with 400MB of data throttled to 28.8kbps for $49.95 per month; Starter Plus, 512kbps with 3Gbytes for $59.95 per month; Executive, 10Gbyte at 1.5Mbps for $69.95 per month and Executive Plus, the $89.95 plan.

If taken as part of a bundle all plans come with twice the basic download data at off peak times, in addition to the peak time quota, and with a $10 discount off the monthly price. The off-peak period is midnight to midday.
