3 claims cheapest mobile broadband, for a while

3 has introduced, for a limited time, what it claims to be Australia's cheapest mobile broadband offering.
Until 3 January customers can get a 3G PCMCIA data modem at no charge (normally $199) and mobile broadband from $29 a month for 200MB or $79 a month for 1GB when they sign up for 12 months on a 3 voice plan.

Excess data is charged at $0.30 per Mbyte and if the card is used roamed onto a 2G GSM network, where it operates in GPRS mode, all data is charged at a flat rate fo$1.65 per Mbyte.
