Customers can get ten days of Broadband2Go service, with a 100MB usage cap, for US$10. Thirty days and 250 MB costs $20; the same period with a 600MB cap costs $40; and with a 1GB cap, $60.

The service also requires the purchase of a Novatel Wireless MC760 USB modem, which provides EVDO Rev A connectivity.

It includes a usage meter that indicates how many megabytes are left in the current plan, and also serves as a microSD card reader.

That device will go on sale in late June at Best Buy stores, at a price of $150.

The device fully supports Microsoft Windows XP and Vista. According to Virgin, it will also work with Mac OS X, but only after it has been activated on a Windows PC. The company claims to be working on full Mac OS X support.

There is no support for Linux at this time.
