Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Psystar burst onto the scene in April 2008 with its OpenMac PC, a tower box with Mac OS X preinstalled.
Installing OS X on non-Apple hardware is a violation of Apple's OS license, and by July the company had taken Psystar to court.
In return, Psystar countersued Apple, claiming that the licensing agreement representative illegal "restraint of trade." In November 2008, a judge dismmissed that claim, and Psystar amended their position to allege misuse of copyright.
Last week, as reported today in The Mac Observer , Psystar filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, which will put the legal proceedings on hold.
The filing reveals that Psystar already owes its legal firm more than US$88,000, which means the company will find it hard to continue their defense once the judge lifts the hold imposed by the bankruptcy filings.
Observers have long speculated that Psystar was originally backed by investors who hoped to use the clones to break Apple's OS X license for their own purposes.
Those investors may have concluded that Apple is likely to win its court case, and so decided to get out while the getting is good.
Further papers in the bankruptcy proceedings are due June 5, and they may reveal the identities of any Psystar investors.
