Online collaboration service provider Box.net announced the addition of new workflow and file sharing features, including the ability to brand shared pages.
Writing on the
company blog , Community Manager Sean Lindo described how Box.net Business Edition customers can add their company logo and color scheme to a shared page.
Another new feature is the ability to create Global Folders to share content as a public web page.
Lindo writes that the process takes "no web or HTML coding experience whatsoever" but produces a page with a custom static URL.
Finally, the company added Tasks, which permit the addition of workflow features to shared content.
A user can create tasks such as reviewing a file, approving or rejecting a file, or updating a file.
The task gets assigned to a specific collaborator, and a side panel to the content view page lets the user keep track of the task's status.
