PETA mounts defense of seals in World of Warcraft

Your IT - Home IT

Animal rights organization PETA is inviting World of Warcraft players to fight off seal-killing Horde members in a special event this Saturday.

The backstory invented by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) involves an orc named Thrall, who has refused to ban the slaughter of seals because of the loss of revenue to Orgrimmar, the orcs' and trolls' capital. So "activists" from a couple of WoW continents are going to get together to stop the seal killers, and all seal-lovers are invited to join in the fun.

These guys want to kill seals; PETA wants you to stop them.

To participate, players need to go to the WhisperWind realm and find their way to the Howling Fjord zone in Northrend. And don't bother unless you're at least a Level 70 player, because lesser combatants won't be able to get into the Howling Fjord.

The fun starts at 1 PM Eastern Daylight Time on Saturday, April 11. Watch a promotional video here , and visit the Facebook page promoting the event here .
