Internode now offering Telstra ADSL2+ services

Your IT - Home IT

Internode has started selling ADSL2+ broadband services across the entire Telstra DSLAM footprint of more than 1400 telephone exchangesand claims that its prices represent better value than those from Telstras' BigPond.

Internode presently offers ADSL2+ service through 110 exchanges with its own DSLAMs and via Optus DSLAMs in 350 exchanges.

Prices for the service, dubbed ADSL-TwoPlus, range from $69.95 a month for a two-gigabyte download allowance to a 55GB download quota for $129.95 per month. "Comparison with BigPond ADSL2+ plans shows the Internode plans offer far better value at all price points," Internode claims.

It adds that "the difference is even larger than it first appears, because BigPond plans charge for uploads plus downloads, compared to Internode broadband plans that feature unlimited uploads."

Internode product manager Jim Kellett said: “Key beneficiaries of ADSL-TwoPlus will be businesses that require high-speed uploads to support services like VPN  or multi-channel VoIP because the new TwoPlus plans support unlimited data uploading at data rates of up to one megabit per second.”
