The Government has offered Australia's three mobile operators, and vividwireless, renewal of their existing spectrum allocated on 15 year licences in the late 90s and early 2000s at set prices, while the Government expects to rake in $3 billion.

As well as the technical aspects of the extra security that is now required, employee education is also vitally important. Reminding people to think before posting personal details on networking sites could lessen the chance of such details being used against a company.
“Companies need to be aware that as well as protecting their assets this is also about protecting their reputations,” he says. “That’s one of the biggest challenges facing business today.”
IT managers need to realise that they can no longer use a “locked down’ approach to corporate security. Rather, a combination of technology and user education is needed to ensure that vital company resources and data remains secure.
