Security: insource, outsource or use the force?

Finally, whether you choose to insource or outsource your security needs, the inescapable fact is that it must be done, done well, and regularly scrutinised by your own internal security people to ensure full compliance at all times.

Regular testing of defences, application of all necessary patches, upgrades and more are the responsibility of your security providers, but someone internally must be made accountable and everything regularly tripled check.

If only one could ‘use the force’ to keep yourself and your company protected, security would be an entirely different ball game. But this is the real world, and not the movies, so whether you insource or outsource, security should be a top priority, of course!
