MCI has announced an expansion of its Internet DSL access services in Asia Pacific and the Middle East. It says that: "Now multinational companies with operations in the People's Republic of China, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, Australia, Singapore and Israel can utilise high-speed, always-on broadband access to connect their remote office locations." Previously MCI offered DSL service in Australia only. MCI also plans to extend its international DSL service into Malaysia and Peru over the next several month.

The services are being provided through agreements with several regional providers, including Pacific Internet for connectivity in Thailand, the Philippines, and Hong Kong; China NetCom for the People's Republic of China and Golden Lines for connectivity in Israel.

In China, MCI will offer ADSL to most major metropolitan areas across all provinces at 512/128kbps. In Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and the Philippines, the speed of service will vary by location and country and both SDSL and ADSL will be offered. In Israel, MCI provides ADSL at speeds from 64 Kbps to 1.5 Mbps.
