Telstra customers hit by DSL and cable broadband outage

Telstra's broadband services throughout most of Eastern Australia, both DSL and cable, suffered a three hour outage from 1.15 pm to 4.00 pm yesterday. Telstra said the outage affected "some customers in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT and Tasmania," and that "investigations into the cause of the outage...are underway". During the outage, it said that engineers were "rebooting the equipment in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne to restore the systems as soon as possible."
