Multiemedia launches new satellite service

Your IT - Home IT

ASX-listed Multiemedia Australia's satellite delivery arm, NewSat, has launched a new satellite service, iDirect, saying the decision was based partly on receipt of customer orders from Australia and the Middle East which best suited the characteristics of this platform, and partly from "the desire to offer an even more diverse range of options to potential customers".

The company says that iDirect's technology complements its existing ViaSat service. "Customers can now choose the best of both worlds with ViaSat an obvious choice for digital video broadcast, multicast, IP TV and media content, and iDirect for wireless broadband access points."
