In principle, Naked ADSL2+, using the Unbundled Local Loop Service access method, fixes this problem. While it may not be possible in practice, we hope to get some trial participants in that circumstance so we can give it our best shot. We're happy to do this on a 'no success, no fee' basis."

Trial participants will pay a nominal $40 per month (and no Telstra line rental fee) during the trial period.
Hackett said it was important that people recognised they were applying to take part in a trial. "Test services can fail in new and interesting ways...We advise people not to apply, or to plan to acquire a second line for the trial, if the ADSL service on their primary line is mission-critical. "
