Australian online outsourcing specialist, Hostworks, has been appointed the exclusive reseller of global online advertising leader DoubleClick's advertising software and hosted services to web publishers in Australia and New Zealand.
Hostworks will sell DoubleClick's software DART for Publishers and DART Enterprise and will offer its existing and new customers a hosted DoubleClick service and will provide application management and technical services to hosted customers.
DoubleClick Asia Pacific managing director, Kaylie Smith said "Hostworks is our exclusive reseller partner in the publisher market for our software. Around the globe and in Australia, we work with many of the world's leading online publishers and help them manage their online ad inventory and maximise their revenues. Our new partnership with Hostworks in Australia will help us to expand our work with publishers in this market."
Hostworks entered the online advertising market when it became the exclusive ad-serving reseller for a DoubleClick competitor called Accipter. In the past two years, it claims to have won major online advertising accounts including Sensis MediaSmart, realestate.com.au and News Digital Media. The company says it "remains committed to continue supporting major customers that use another ad-serving system including ninemsn and News."
However, Hostworks sales & marketing director, Klaus Bartosch, said: "DoubleClick's broad product offering provides a better fit for more customers, which will contribute to Hostworks' revenues. It also gives us a chance to engage with new customers who become aware of Hostworks' critical application management expertise by buying a DoubleClick solution from us."
