Apple’s iTunes to sell ringtones, hidden iPhone features?

As you know, the Internet works quickly, so there is already some discussion and even a couple of minor corrections to assumptions made in the video at MyIphone.com.
The video shows how you’ll be able to add calendar items, and why the calendar wasn’t previewed during the keynote even though Steve said he was going to demo it (the reason being it hadn’t been finished properly yet) and the availability of three calendar views – day, month and year.
Scrolling through lists of songs, videos or contacts isn’t just done by flicking up or down, but also by tapping on the letter you want to start at from a vertical alphabetical list. The Google Maps service looks to deliver a ‘Get Directions’ and ‘Find Restaurant’ button – two items wrongly predicted on the video and they look to be definitively corrected at the MyIphone site.
Finally, there’s the possibility of an iTunes ringtone service, as seen in a screenshot of iTunes that was connected to an iPhone.
All of this news follows the latest rumor that a 3G iPhone will definitely be arriving in 2008, but beyond no 3G just yet, no doubt these will not be the only surprises when the iPhone finally launches in a little over three month’s time!
