The post on Gizmodo is the shortest they’ve ever posted, and it doesn’t really tell you anything. There are none of those trademark fuzzy pics or patent applications, either.
Commenters on the site are wondering whether they mean Monday 15th of January, the Monday after Macworld, or if Gizmodo really means Monday the 18th of December (which will be Tuesday 19th for us here in Australia thanks to ye olde Time Zones).
There’s also speculation that, given that Gizmodo’s Brian Lam says ‘It isn’t what I expected at all’ that it’s a VoIP product that will work with Apple’s iMacs.
So what do Gizmodo say, to save you from going to the link? Here’s the post in full: “Gizmodo Knows: iPhone Will Be Announced On Monday. I guarantee it. It isn't what I expected at all. And I've already said too much. –Brian Lam”
That’s it. The comments are far longer and more numerous. No-one really seems to believe it, it’s like we’re all iPhoned out from all the endless, rampant speculation.
But who knows? Maybe Gizmodo really do know, and there’ll be a very strangely timed pre-Christmas iPhone launch.
One thing’s for sure: Brian Lam didn’t say much at all.
Think again. Most businesses only have PART of a DR plan - and this spells business disaster in the event of an IT disaster.
