It’s hitting 38 degrees Celsius here in Melbourne today, perfect weather for staying indoors and breaking out a new game console, or going to the beach.  With the Wii U hitting Australia tonight at midnight that choice got a little harder to make.

Midnight madness launches, when did that start to happen, why can’t we generate the new-console sales hype with a brilliant midday launch?  Oh well, for those bleary eyed yet ravenous Australian Nintendo fans, tonight is the night.

The Wii U launches across Australia officially from Friday November 30th.  After a whirlwind tour of the land down under earlier in the month, it is time for the official retail opening for the newest home gaming console on the market.

In Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane there will be major launch events at the three locations below, featuring a live DJ, live caricatures, balloon art, themed donuts, slurpees and more!
