Blizzard Entertainment do cinematics well.  Feel free to add that to you list of understatements of 2012.  Whether it is StarCraft, Diablo III or, in this case the next World of Warcraft expansion; Mists of Pandaria, the cinematic videos are spectacular.

You've ended Deathwing's destructive rampage and saved the dragonflights from extinction. Now you must unlock the mysteries of the lost continent and discover the dark secrets of Pandaria's past. Explore ancient kingdoms hidden since before the Sundering, plunder vast treasures from the depths of the forgotten vaults, and rise to defend Pandaria from the shadow of a long buried evil - before it's too late.

Blizzard entertainment is pleased to present the opening cinematic for Mists of Pandaria as presented at gamescom 2012. Whether you’re Horde or Alliance, there is one question we all must consider: “Why do we fight?”

Whilst still dark in its presentation, Mists of Pandaria is one of the “lighter’ expansions to hit the wartorn universe of World of Warcraft.

By all accounts this is in preparation for the expansion to come, which according to Blizzard will contain much darker content, so for the time being enjoy the wistfulness of Pandaria.
