Some people can't get enough bass. If the Sonos Play:3 or Play:5 don't deliver enough for you, the company has announced a subwoofer to augment its wireless audio systems.

The Sonos Sub is a wireless subwoofer that can be added to a Sonos wireless audio system such as the Play:3 http://www.itwire.com/reviews/entertainment/49984-sonos-play3 or Play:5 http://www.itwire.com/reviews/entertainment/48264-sonos-zoneplayer-s5-zonebridge-100-and-controller-200 (but not the Connect, ZP90 or ZP80).

It features two Class D digital amplifiers, two force-cancelling speakers, and dual acoustic ports tuned to enhance bass resonance.

Measuring 402 x 158 x 380mm, it weighs a hefty 16kg.

The Sub is scheduled to ship on June 19 at $999. A matte black version is due in October at $899.

In related news, Sonos announced this week that its customers in Australia now have access to the Spotify streaming music service http://www.itwire.com/reviews/entertainment/48264-sonos-zoneplayer-s5-zonebridge-100-and-controller-200 .
